TRAUMA - in life, and birth

Trauma is something we all experience on some level at some point, but a baby’s birth should NEVER be traumatic for the baby, or the birthing person.
Too often I hear about traumatic births, and while it simultaneously enrages me and breaks my heart, it also motivates me because there is still so much work to be done to protect the sacred space that is birth, and to help birthing parents prepare so that they can have the positive births they dream of.
I feel the magnitude of this need, to shift birth culture away from over-medicalization and unnecessary interventions, because I KNOW trauma. And if you have also experienced it, I see you. I’m with you.
If you’re afraid of what might happen during your birth, or because of a previous birth experience, I am here to help you transform your fear into courage and power. Birth is not an inherently medical event, and as someone who chose to have an unplanned c-section with my second baby, even though I desperately wanted to avoid surgery, I don’t say that lightly. Thank God we have those medical interventions when they’re needed. But too often one intervention leads to another and it becomes a cascade that could have been avoided.
My job is to help you have the birth experience YOU desire. My opinions and personal desires are irrelevant.
